Chakra Color Coaching

Chakra Color Coaching uses the seven chakra colours as a gateway to self-reflection. The client chooses the colour that draws them, and the theme behind that colour becomes the starting point for the conversation. It combines spiritual symbolism with practical coaching, using colour as a mirror for what is alive in someone right now.

What Is Chakra Color Coaching?

Chakra teaching originates from ancient Indian traditions and describes seven energy centres in the body, each with its own colour, theme, and quality. In coaching the chakras are not treated as a health practice, but used as a language for reflection. The colours give a client an intuitive way in: which theme is asking for attention, where does something feel blocked, and what wants to grow? The method works because a colour can open a conversation that direct questions sometimes cannot.

How to Use Chakra Color Coaching

The method starts with a colour and lets the conversation follow.

  • Ask the client which colour draws their attention first, and trust the first response
  • Ask open questions about the theme behind that colour, without steering
  • Use the colour as a metaphor: what would more of this colour mean in your life?
  • Explore both sides: where is there too much of this theme, and where too little?
  • Close with a concrete intention or small step that fits the chosen colour

Coaching Questions for Chakra Color Coaching

Each colour carries its own question, and a few open questions tie them together.

  • Which colour draws you today, and why this one?
  • What does the theme behind that colour mean to you right now?
  • Where in your life is there too much or too little of it?
  • What would more of this colour make possible?
  • What small step or intention fits this colour?

When to Use Chakra Color Coaching

  • When a client responds well to imagery and metaphor rather than direct analysis
  • When someone senses that something needs attention but cannot yet name it
  • As an intuitive opening for a session, to see which theme surfaces first

Chakra Color Coaching in FocusCoachee

FocusCoachee includes Chakra Color Coaching as a coaching method. You can add it directly to a session, and the client stays an active participant: they choose a colour, explore its theme, and capture the intention that follows. Because the choice is saved, the client can return to it and notice which colours and themes keep drawing them over time, so an intuitive exercise becomes a thread they can follow across sessions.

FocusCoachee also lets you add your own methods. If you work with a different version of this tool, or have a framework you always use with clients, you can build it as a custom method and add it to any session - just like the built-in ones.
