What is coaching exactly?

Coaching is a structured conversation in which a coach helps you gain clarity, define goals, and take meaningful action. It is not about giving advice, but about asking the right questions so you can find your own insights.

Coaching focuses on growth, reflection, and forward movement. Whether it concerns career, leadership, or personal development, coaching helps you make conscious choices and take ownership of your progress.

What coaching is not

Coaching is not therapy. Therapy focuses on processing the past and addressing psychological issues. Coaching focuses on the present and the future: from where you are now to where you want to be.

Coaching is also not mentoring. A mentor shares their own experience and gives advice based on what worked for them. A coach does not provide answers, but helps you find them yourself.

What can you expect from a coaching trajectory?

A coaching trajectory consists of a series of sessions in which coach and coachee work together towards a specific goal. Each session builds on the previous one. Between sessions, you work on insights and actions that move you forward.

Good coaching does not stop when the conversation ends. A solid coaching platform supports the work between sessions too: structured notes, action points, and a shared space where progress stays visible.

When is coaching useful?

Coaching helps when you feel stuck, face an important decision, want to grow professionally, or simply need more structure and focus in your development. You do not need to be in crisis to benefit from coaching. Many people start precisely when things are going reasonably well, but they sense there is more possible.

What does a good coaching session look like?

A good session starts with a clear question or topic. The coach listens carefully, reflects back what they hear, and asks questions that help you think more deeply. The outcome is not always a clear plan, but often a new perspective or a concrete next step.
